Mission Bay's one hotel, LUMA, had nothing for the Finals window when we opened it on October 10, so this 160-room 2017 build is the closest upscale bed. Walk down Third Street, or ride the T Third from Caltrain's 4th and King platform, 1,700 feet away. Parking runs $85 a day, so do not drive. No booking engine would quote us on October 18. Read the cancellation hour before you pay.

Best reviewed of the walkable set, and the walk is a straight line down Third Street past Oracle Park. Game 2 tips at 5 p.m. PT on Monday, October 19, two hours after a 3 p.m. check-in. October 26 is Game 5, and only a Golden State sweep of Games 2, 3 and 4 erases it. Hold that night refundable and cancel if the series ends in Atlanta.

Twenty-two rooms, so it closes out before the big boxes do. Free self parking, which downtown will not give you. A short drive to Chase Center, freeway approach in between.
