Nothing by the arena is upscale, so the premium call is five miles east in Garden City: 272 rooms, indoor pool, two David Burke restaurants, free parking, an 8.6 on Booking. The Garden City LIRR stop is 400 feet from the door and Hempstead Branch trains run straight to Elmont-UBS Arena station, so you can skip Hempstead Turnpike traffic. Fifteen minutes by car otherwise.

Nothing on Booking's list for Belmont Park is walkable to UBS Arena. Take that as given. This Courtyard is the best-reviewed of the lot at 7.7, four miles west on the Queens side, a 15-minute drive down the Cross Island. The Floral Park Motor Lodge is the closest real hotel, about a mile from the track, but it grades 7.1 and costs more.
