College Football Conference Championship Weekend 2026 hotel guide

Mercedes-Benz Stadium · Atlanta, GA

Four power-conference title games across about 30 hours at four fixed sites, all live-verified 2026-11-01: Big 12 Friday December 4 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, 8 p.m. ET on ABC — moved to Friday night new for 2026; then Saturday December 5, ACC at noon ET at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte (ABC), SEC at 4 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (ABC), Big Ten at 8 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis (FOX). Every league sends its top two by conference winning percentage; none uses divisions, so several pairings are not settled until the final regular-season Saturday, November 28. Atlanta is the hardest booking of the four because it is the only one of these cities with a second full stadium the next day — the Falcons host the Lions at 1 p.m. on Sunday December 6 in the same building — and the SEC game has drawn between 74,810 and 78,320 every year from 2021 through 2025, so the Saturday crowd is certain before the matchup is. A fifth fixed site that weekend is Ford Field, Detroit, which hosts the MAC Championship at noon ET on December 5; it is not part of this event row. Book refundable first. A cancellable rate lets you drop the room if the bracket, the schedule or your plans change, and rebook if a better rate shows up.

The money play

Three moves, in order

1
Book refundable first

Booking for College Football Conference Championship Weekend? Hold a free-cancellation rate in Atlanta first, because it keeps your options open while tickets and plans settle. Note the cutoff date on the rate. Up to that date you can drop the room without a fee.

2
Re-check as the date closes in

Cancellation windows on other fans' bookings close in waves, so rooms reopen days before the event. Holding a refundable rate means every re-check can only save you money.

3
Cancel free or cash in

Plans change, matchups shift, tickets fall through. A refundable room is an option, not a commitment. Keep the best price you find and drop the rest.
